Evening Walk

Evening Walk

The stifling heat of the room,
The feeling of impending doom,
The boring similarity of the four walls,
The choking silence of the lonely halls.

They inspire you to leave it all behind,
Lest you lose your rational mind.
You rush out of the imposing wooden door,
Leaving behind the clean tiled floor.

The cool breeze is a pleasant surprise
With the stunning colours that in the air rise,
The winding roads beneath your shoes,
Show the paths you can choose.

You begin a slow, leisurely walk,
Much beyond the familiar block.
