The frisbee and my nose

 The Frisbee and my Nose

I wrote this poem after a frisbee hit me twice on the same day. at the same spot. Hope you enjoy reading it and understand my pain.

The day was warm and sunny,

The air as sweet as honey,

That's when disaster struck,

And I knew I was out of luck.

My head was down low,

My body bent to the floor,

When something came whizzing through the air,

Hitting my nose fair and square.

For a moment I was stunned,

I was still and I was numbed,

Then the pain arrived with a will,

To torture me, then to kill.

I screamed out loud drowned in pain,

The sound echoed through the deserted lane,

The apologies pierced my ears,

I couldn't control my flowing tears.

My nose throbbed in agony,

I was consumed in the tragedy,

"I'm fine," through my sobs I lied,

Then I dashed away and cried.

I might have been able to forgive the crime,

Had it not happened another time.

Once again on the same day,

With the same frisbee, in the same way,

It hit my nose once more,

I uttered a furious roar.

I was blinded with pain,

The sky darkened, promising rain,

I was consumed with a desire for revenge,

My nose will be avenged.

I sat alone for a while,

In my mind, plots ran wild,

Should I break it? Shred it? Melt it?

Burn it? Slice it bit by bit?

Every option sounded good,

I had to think as evilly as I could.

I thought for a long time,

Then decided how to do the crime.

From the box of toys, I stole it,

For good measure, I also punched it,

Then I ran with it down the street,

Kicking it with my feet.

I stopped by a filthy drain,

A little away from my house's lane,

I tossed it down into the muck,

Where no one would put their hand or try their luck.

I slept in peace for a blissful hour,

With the frisbee gone, I felt filled with power.

I woke to the sound of a loud smack,

And I saw that the frisbee was back.
