How to Make Origami Stars

 Origami Stars

Here's a craft tutorial for origami stars

Step 1: Getting Paper
Get a thin strip of paper. Around 8mm or one strip from a ruled notebook. Like this👇.

Step 2: Making the cancer symbol
Make a loop like the ribbon in the cancer symbol. Like this👇.

Step 3: Bringing the loop higher
Like this👇.

Step 4: Folding back the extra
Turn the loop around and fold the extra paper in. Like this👇.

Step 5: Making the pentagon
Turn it back around and slide the folded part up till you can make a pentagon (which is a shape with five equal sides) and press to make it fold. Like this👇.

Step 6: Folding around
Take the long piece of paper and start folding it around and around the pentagon till you are left with only a little bit of paper. Like this👇.

Step 7: Tucking in the flap
Slide the flap under the two folds of paper or one fold depending on the size of the flap. If there is some extra even after sliding under the fold, you can cut it off or glue it. Like this👇.

Step 8: Turning the pentagon into a star
By now you should have a neat pentagon with no extra flaps. Take one corner of the pentagon and pinch it to turn it into a point and do so with all the corners. Like this👇.

Step 9: Colour!!
You can skip this if you want your star to be white or if you used coloured paper. If not, use brush pens or paint. You could use coloured pencils or crayons but do it before step 8. Like this👇.

DONE!!!

  1. Hi!!
This doesn't take long and once you master it you won't be able to stop. The best part is one sheet of paper can make about twenty of these!
Note: Use thin strips like I mentioned because you can wrap around the pentagon more and make it thicker. This helps when you're doing Step 8.
